Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights and Every Other Weekend, located in the healthcare provider organization's Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Unit. This role involves providing critical maternal, neonatal, and postpartum care in a 25-bed unit that includes labor, postpartum, newborn nursery, operating rooms, recovery rooms, and observation rooms. The position demands skilled coordination of clinical workflows, patient monitoring, and emergency response to ensure the safety and well-being of mothers and infants.

Job Details

• Position: Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN Nights and EOW, 36 or 48 hours per week
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours; minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN License; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM); minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery or related specialty; experience with postpartum, circulating, and newborn care
• Preferred Qualifications: AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Responsibilities: Providing expert clinical care to mothers and newborns in a busy postpartum and labor environment; managing evaluations, active labor, magnesium administration, epidurals, postpartum care, and newborn assessments; ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum 48 hours per week
• Additional Information: The position involves working on a unit with an average daily census of 15-25 mothers and babies, utilizing electronic medical records (EPIC), and providing care across multiple specialized rooms.
