Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a facility in Meridian, Idaho. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Womens Services unit, following established AWHONN standards for patient ratios and safety protocols. The position requires experienced RNs capable of circulating in labor and postpartum settings, with a focus on delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensing to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN), with certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Stable (taken at least once). Must possess AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification and have at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and circulating nursing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Triage experience strongly preferred.
  • Float: Required to float to like units within the valley, including Nampa and Boise L&D, as well as to adult units such as Medical Surgical or Emergency Department, with prior notice.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a Womens Services department with 10 L&D beds, 2 Operating Room suites for Cesarean Sections, and 4 triage beds. The unit maintains staffing levels per AWHONN standards, with in-house neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and CRNA anesthesia providers available 24/7 to ensure comprehensive patient care.
