Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a high-risk obstetrics department. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including high-risk obstetric cases, with circulation responsibilities on cesarean sections, postpartum, and newborn care. The position requires flexibility to float within the facility, providing vital support for maternal and neonatal health care.
Job Details
Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate certifications, BLS and NRP certifications, and experience with administration of blood and blood products, high risk obstetric procedures, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week, with start date on 11/02/2026 and end date on 05/03/2027.
Additional Responsibilities: Circulating for cesarean sections, assisting with high risk deliveries and vaginal births, postpartum and neonatal assessments, managing postpartum hemorrhage, and supporting breastfeeding and parent education. Candidates expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Travel and Compliance: Travelers are expected to work three of the five major holidays, with specific RTO requests to be made during submission. Two references covering at least one year within the last three years are required. Candidates should not contact the facility directly unless for an agreed-upon interview.
