Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of experience and a compact or OK RN license.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery/Nursery unit of a hospital environment
• Care for expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, manage pain including epidurals, and assist with vaginal or surgical deliveries
• Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
• 13-week assignment
• Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays as needed per department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or OK State) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start required
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care, monitor and record patient conditions, and coordinate care across disciplines
• Educate families on postpartum recovery and coordinate discharge planning needs
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
