Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active compact or OK RN license.

Details

• Work in the LDRPN unit of a hospital setting
• Care for expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth
• Monitor maternal/fetal vital signs, manage pain including epidurals, and assist with vaginal or surgical deliveries
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts as needed per department needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) or OK RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• NRP certification through AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start required

Additional Information

• Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by state
