**Join Our Dynamic Labor and Delivery Team!** **Job Description:** - Location: Chattanooga, TN - Unit Name: Labor and Delivery - Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Cost Center: 708 **Unit Specifics:** - **Number of Beds:** - 9 Labor Rooms - 6 Triage Rooms - 3 Antepartum Rooms - 3 Operating Rooms - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:1-2 Laboring - 1:2-3 Antepartum - 1:1 Cesarean Section and PACU - **Staffing Description:** - Always an OB Tech available for scrubbing c/s and assisting with vaginal deliveries - 1 Dedicated Charge Nurse for triage and transport (baby nurse) - 1 Unit Secretary 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM - **Type of Equipment:** - Meditech and Centricity Documentation Systems - **Scheduling Requirements:** - 3 Shifts per week - Must work 1-2 days or evenings during winter holidays - **Floating Policy:** - Possible to float to Mother Baby, but not frequently - No floating to any other department - **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Hospital Specific Certifications **Hiring Profile:** - **Requested Skill Set:** - Must have 2+ years of L&D experience - Preferably 1 or more travel contracts completed - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Cervical Exams - IUPC and FSE Placement - Vaginal Deliveries - IV Starts with Lab Draws - Circulating Cesarean Sections - Recovering Cesarean Sections (mostly with spinal anesthesia; general anesthesia occasionally) - **Certifications Required:** - AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring - NRP, ACLS, BLS **Dress Code:** - Required Uniform: - Solid black, grey, or pink scrubs only - No patterns, sweatshirts, or t-shirts **Why Choose This Unit?** - Join a community hospital with a monthly birth volume of 200+ deliveries. - Experience significant growth with new practices and healthcare providers. - Collaborate with Diana Health, a laborist program ensuring 24-hour coverage. - Dedicated anesthesia providers available 24/7. - Be part of the first hospital in Chattanooga to offer nitrous oxide therapy for pain management. - Recently renovated labor and delivery and mother-baby units with state-of-the-art facilities. - Use advanced tools such as the Jada, fetal pillow, and Cook's catheters. - Most nursing staff have completed Spinning Babies or Supporting Vaginal Birth classes to enhance patient care and outcomes. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
