**Exciting Opportunity: Seasonal RN - Labor and Delivery (708)** Job Description: - **Contract Length:** 13 Weeks - **Shift:** 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - **No On-Call Requirements** **Unit Information:** - **Location:** 3rd Floor, Acute Hospital - **Department Number:** 708 - **Discipline:** Labor & Delivery **Unit Highlights:** - Level 4 designated maternal center, providing care for the most complex patients at any gestation. - 22 total beds, with 16 dedicated labor beds. - Approximately 100 staff members, including RNs and support staff. **Staffing Details:** - **Day Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - Minimum of 2 Surgical Techs - 1 Unit Clerk - Typically 10 staff members during the week; 7 on weekends. - **Night Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - Minimum of 2 Surgical Techs - 1 Unit Clerk - Typically 9 staff members during the week; 7 on weekends. **Patient Ratios:** - 1:2 or 1:1 based on the patient's needs. **Essential Skills Required:** - Experience with high-risk maternal patients. - Proficient in circulating operating room procedures and triage. **Preferred Qualifications:** - More than 5 years of experience. **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Vaginal and Cesarean section deliveries. - Tubal ligations; cerclage placement and removal. - D&C and C-hyst; PASD cases. **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment. - Team-oriented with a commitment to collaboration. **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Navy Blue **Unit Recognition:** - America’s Best Maternity Hospital 2023 by Newsweek. - Leap Frog Grade A - the only hospital in Texas to maintain straight A’s since inception. - Level 4 Maternal Designation - highest level of care in Texas. **Attraction Factors:** - Tenured unit with long-term, supportive leadership. - Leadership capable of providing patient care if census requires. - Ongoing renovations to enhance room quality. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
