⚕️ Role Overview
As an L&D RN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care. You’ll work closely with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for both mother and baby.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments throughout labor
- Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Administer medications and IV therapies
- Provide labor support, education, and emotional care
- Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, and neonatal teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Educate families on postpartum and newborn care
✅ Requirements
- Experience:
- Previous L&D RN experience required
- Education:
- ASN required | BSN preferred
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Active RN License (Single State or Compact)
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- NRP – Required
- Preferred:
- ACLS / PALS (as applicable)
