Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 5 years of high-risk L&D experience and prior travel experience.
Details
- Work in the OB/GYN unit providing L&D, OB, and newborn care
- Unit includes 12 postpartum rooms, 4 swing/antepartum rooms, 5 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, and 2 operating rooms
- High-risk patient population
- Patient ratios: 1:3 on Labor and Delivery, 1:3 antepartum, and 1:6 mother/baby couplet
- Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system
- Uses Alaris pumps, epidural pumps, and PAS lower extremity pumps
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend (Fri/Sat) required
- Call rotation required with potential 4-hour mandation block as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: NRP, ACLS, and BLS
- Fetal monitoring certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery required
- Prior OB experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn care areas
- May be included in the unit's rotation pool for additional hours as needed to ensure coverage
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- Local candidates accepted
- Radius rate rules apply based on distance from the facility
