Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a Birth Center position requiring strong L&D skills and comfort with post-partum care.

Details

• Work in a Birth Center with 20 total beds: 12 L&D, 8 PP/AP (3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• NP available on-call for support
• Epic EMR strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
• Must be comfortable performing cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
• Must be able to circulate C-sections and perform baby catching/receiving
• Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding support required
• Comfort with all aspects of post-partum care from transition to discharge for mom and baby strongly preferred
• Scrub experience is a bonus but not required

Additional Information

• Care for a multilingual patient population, with Russian and Spanish speakers preferred
• Teal scrubs are provided
• Scrub-trained RNs may occasionally be used to cover sick calls in the OR
