Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring NRP certification and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in the Obstetrics Acute unit of a hospital setting
• Provide labor and delivery care including taking over recoveries and catching babies during cesarean sections
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36-48 hours per week
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required
• Current NRP certification (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS) required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• No prior negative licensure actions permitted

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff across various levels
• Coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs
• Develop and implement care plans while evaluating progress toward outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and healing care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Delegate duties appropriately among healthcare team members
• Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
