Job Titile: Travel Laboratory Assistant (Phlebotomy) – Clinical Laboratory
Location: Canton, GA 30115
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Pay Range: $45 - $52/ hr

Notes: Travel candidates only (No local candidates within 50 miles)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Laboratory Assistant to join its Clinical Laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital laboratory and phlebotomy experience, excellent patient interaction skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately and efficiently.
  • Collect specimens from a minimum of 10 patients per hour while maintaining quality and patient safety.
  • Label, process, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and specimen integrity.
  • Document patient information and specimen collection using Cerner EMR.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare teams to support timely diagnostic testing.
  • Follow all hospital safety, infection control, and laboratory procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomy experience in a hospital laboratory.
  • Phlebotomy Certification required.
  • Recent hospital laboratory experience required.
  • Cerner EMR experience required.
  • Previous travel experience required.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
