Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery Recovery PP position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit caring for patients before, during, and after childbirth
• Unit includes 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, a 3-bed OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit for high-risk and postpartum care
• 1st shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required as needed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS, NRP, and Life-Threatening Dysrhythmia certifications required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though 3-4 years of experience is highly preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for L&D patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family-centered education
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members' performance of patient care activities
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction, falls, and documentation audits
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• First-time travelers may be considered given no experience requirement is mandatory
