Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Hillsboro, Oregon

Travel Labor & Delivery RN opportunity in Hillsboro, Oregon, offering $2,310–$2,440 weekly for an experienced maternal-newborn nurse. Join a compassionate women’s and children’s care team in a collaborative Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) environment.

As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you’ll care for low- to moderate-risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, postpartum patients, and newborns. This travel nursing contract provides the opportunity to support deliveries, triage obstetrical patients, provide comprehensive maternal-newborn care, and stabilize newborns during transition.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310–$2,440
• Location: Hillsboro, Oregon
• Healthcare Setting: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with 16-, 18-, and 20-week options available
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 4-shift options may also be available
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Call: Not required
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3
• Floating: May float within the hospital based on unit needs

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery or LDRP Registered Nurse experience
• Active Oregon Registered Nurse license, or a pending license application submitted to the Oregon licensing board
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Fetal monitoring experience
• Experience triaging obstetrical patients and performing medical screening examinations
• Newborn transition and baby nurse experience
• Ability to initiate neonatal resuscitation, including CPAP and positive-pressure ventilation, for low- to moderate-risk deliveries until additional support arrives
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge nurse, mentor, or preceptor experience preferred

Travel Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Perform obstetrical triage and complete appropriate maternal and newborn patient assessments
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Circulate and recover Cesarean-section patients in the operating room suite
• Support newborn transitions, including assessment and stabilization after delivery
• Initiate NRP interventions, including CPAP and positive-pressure ventilation, when clinically indicated
• Start and manage peripheral IVs and administer medications and treatments according to orders
• Educate patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
• Collaborate with providers, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Float within the hospital as needed while maintaining safe, high-quality maternal-newborn patient care
