Job Description
Perinatal Float Pool 0700-1930
ACLS and NRP required
1 year recent labor & delivery or postpartum RN experience.
Provide intrapartum, antepartum, and newborn care to low- and at-risk populations.
Float between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby Units as needed, potentially every 4 hours.
Department Overview
The Perinatal Newborn Float Pool supports OHSU?s Women?s Services by providing comprehensive care from labor and birth through postpartum recovery. Nurses work in both the Labor & Delivery Unit (12 labor rooms, 4-bed triage, 3 ORs, 2-bay PACU) and the Mother Baby Unit (27 beds) for low- and high-risk patients.
Prefer L&D and postpartum skillset with ability to float to Mother Baby Unit
High risk labor and delivery unit who also sees high risk antepartum.
4 bay Triage unit- sees 20 weeks and postpartum within 6 weeks .
OR- 3 operating rooms and 2 bay PACU.
