LDRP - Nights Job Description: - **Join Our Team as a Night Registered Nurse!** - **Position Overview:** - As a Night RN, you'll immerse yourself in both the caregiver and care manager roles. - Take responsibility for a group of patients while implementing the Nursing Process. - Lead and support a team of caregivers by directing, overseeing, and validating patient care outcomes. - **Core Values:** - **Listen:** - Engage actively, with full attention to understand. - Build meaningful relationships and support others. - **Love:** - Prioritize the needs of patients and colleagues. - Foster a culture of encouragement and forgiveness. - **Respect:** - Seek solutions and embrace diverse perspectives. - Communicate openly and honestly to build trust. - **Excel:** - Go above and beyond to enhance patient experience. - Learn from feedback and strive for continuous improvement. - **Innovate:** - Embrace change and promote creativity. - Take initiative in shaping the organization's culture. - **Essential Functions:** - Conduct thorough assessments focusing on patient needs. - Implement care effectively following established protocols. - Identify learning needs and provide appropriate patient education. - Document patient information accurately per policy. - Respect patient rights regardless of their background. - Delegate and supervise patient care activities. - Use critical thinking to prioritize and organize tasks. - Serve as a Charge Nurse as needed to support unit operations. - Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and training. - Adhere to safety regulations and organizational policies. - **Work Environment:** - Collaborate closely with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. - Report to Nursing Department leadership and designated supervisors. - **Education & Experience:** - Graduation from an accredited nursing school. - Current Washington State RN Licensure. - BLS Certification within 30 days of hire. - Preferred experience in acute care nursing. - **Skills/Competencies:** - Proficient in assessing and planning patient care. - Excellent critical thinking and crisis management skills. - Ability to engage with patients across all age groups. - Familiarity with necessary medical equipment. - **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to stand, walk, lift, and manage equipment for long periods. - Strong decision-making skills in high-stress environments. - Effective verbal and written communication abilities. - **Mother Baby Unit Requirements:** - Completion of AAP NRP Advanced before the end of orientation. - ACLS certification within 6 months of hire. - STABLE course completion and AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required.
