Polysomnography Tech II - RPSGT

Job Summary
The Polysomnographic Technologist, a registered RPSGT or RST with a minimum of one-year clinical experience in sleep, provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the direction of a physician. This includes polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Polysomnography program, of no less than one year's duration, associated with a state-licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of age and developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
  • Proficiency in job-related software and technology.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and respond to changing patient priorities.
  • Experience in providing patient and family education to ensure high-quality diagnostic testing and outcomes.
  • Active engagement in professional growth activities, including attending staff meetings and collaborating effectively with colleagues and medical staff.
