Job Title: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years in relevant field License: Must have full licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker Certifications: LCSW, LMFT, LMHC Must-Have: Must have full licensure; an associate license will not suffice. Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics is required. Hospital experience is preferred. Availability to work every other weekend is required. Description: This position will float between units as needed. On-call duties are not required. Weekends will be required every other weekend, a Saturday and Sunday. The expected patient ratio is 7 to 1. The role involves working with patients suffering from mental health illnesses and substance use disorders. The Social Worker will conduct evaluations for risk of harm to self, others, or gravely disabled individuals. Providing care recommendations as a consultant is an essential part of the role. The professional will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. Key responsibilities include conducting crisis assessments and initial evaluations. The role will also involve developing clinical assessment reports and coordinating care. Knowledge of cultural issues and relevant laws is necessary for effective patient care. The ability to provide education and support to patients and their families is crucial. Additional duties may include working with community resources and handling emergency detentions. Travel may be required between nearby facilities to complete similar work. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
