Job Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Profession: Social Services Specialty: Social Worker Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-medical social work experience required License: Must be licensed in California Certifications: LCSW, MAB (Managing Assaultive Behavior) Must-Have: Traveling experience is a must. Experience in an academic medical hospital within the last 1-5 years. Ability to work variable days including weekends and evenings. Knowledge of specialties such as Medicine Team, Surgery, Transplant, NICU, and Emergency Department. Description: Cardiology experience is required. The position will involve working shifts of 5x8, 08:00 to 16:30, with one weekend day each week. LCSWs with a minimum of 1 year of experience in California are preferred. Experience should include work with patients in Medicine Team, Surgery, Transplant, NICU, and Emergency Department. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in adult protective services, child protective services, and developing care plans that meet patient and caregiver needs. Experience in high-risk intervention for vulnerable or safety-risk patients is necessary. Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and housing charities is advantageous. Familiarity with mini mental state examinations (MMSE) and neurological disorders is essential. Candidates should be skilled in addressing psychiatric disorders, suicidal assessments, substance abuse assessments, and trauma care. Experience with domestic violence and hospice care is also preferred. This position requires valuable interpersonal skills for effective patient assessment and intervention. Candidates should be prepared to manage complex medical and psychosocial histories while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. All certifications must be valid and obtained prior to application.
