    Job Title: Clinical Social Worker Profession: Behavioral Health Specialty: Clinical Social Worker Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Not Specified Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 3 months; Clinical Competency Assessment required within 3 months and every 3 years thereafter. Must-Have: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Valid State Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Description: This position provides evidence-based, culturally relevant outpatient behavioral health treatment for those experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or mental disorders. Clinical services include individual, group, family, and marital therapy, as well as bio-psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluation, care coordination, and crisis intervention. The clinician is an active and engaged member of the multidisciplinary treatment team to support individuals and families. The clinician maintains electronic health records with timely documentation of services in accordance with established policies and procedures. The clinician follows and maintains established clinical productivity standards. After-hours crisis intervention services are provided on a shared rotating basis. Those not yet licensed will receive clinical supervision that meets licensure requirements. Supervision for those not yet licensed will focus on the appropriate delivery of twelve core functions: screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, therapy, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, reports, and records keeping. Culturally relevant screening, assessment, diagnosing, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapy will be implemented to meet the needs of clients served. Trauma-Informed Care will be utilized in all aspects of interactions. Mental health and substance use disorder interventions will be integrated based on the results of individualized assessments and treatment planning. Individualized treatment plans will be developed and reviewed based upon the individual's needs. Care coordination, advocacy, motivational interviewing, bio-psychosocial education, and skill development will be provided. Access to care and effective utilization will be maximized by focusing on improving coping strategies and skills, promoting self-care, improving self-understanding, and managing symptoms. Collaboration with clinical and paraprofessional team members across the system will be essential to achieve individualized treatment goals. Crisis intervention services will be provided within normal clinic hours. Documentation of all services must be complete, timely, and accurate, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, screening tools, and discharge plans. Self-monitoring to fulfill licensure requirements is necessary. Adherence to patient confidentiality and sharing of information per HIPAA and established policy is required. Coordination of care within the health system and local community social agencies will ensure appropriate referrals for optimal individualized care. Participation in staff meetings, training, and multidisciplinary team meetings is required. Productivity expectations will be consistently met to support ongoing patient access to timely care. Prompt responses to coding and audit requests and corrections are essential. All required provider enrollment expectations and documentation must be completed. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Experience and expertise with behavioral health assessment and diagnoses are required. The ability to provide assessment, treatment plans, and referrals for patients of all ages is necessary. Knowledge of behavioral health assessment and diagnostic evaluation criteria is essential. Understanding of treatment plan development and patient-centered goals and objectives is expected. Familiarity with evidence-based methods, techniques, and procedures used in individual, group, and family therapy for emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues is required. Knowledge of federal and state mandatory reporting requirements is essential. Understanding of ethical and legal management practices, patient rights, and documentation regulations is necessary. Skills in assessing patients for risk of suicide or self-harm and developing effective safety plans are required. The clinician must be able to advocate for patients and coordinate required services to resolve problems in crisis situations. Analytical skills to evaluate and diagnose situations and adopt effective courses of action are essential. The ability to document clear and concise reports based on patient observation, screenings, and assessments in accordance with professional standards and regulations is necessary. Treatments and approaches must be modified to comply with changes in patients' needs. Maintaining knowledge of new developments in behavioral health assessment and counseling is expected.
