Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The LPN will provide direct patient care and support within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, assisting residents with daily nursing care, medication administration, and monitoring patient conditions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents and patients under RN supervision
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and changes in health status
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient assessments
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, CNAs, and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and facility regulations
Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families
Requirements
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Knowledge of medication administration, patient care standards, and clinical documentation practices

Facility photo badge must be worn at all times during assignment
Agency staff must meet facility vaccination or exemption requirements where applicable
