Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 14-week contract assignment in Bennington, Vermont. The LPN will provide direct nursing care in a skilled nursing environment, supporting residents with ongoing health needs while ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery during evening shifts.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing teams to maintain patient stability and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nursing staff
Administer medications and treatments according to care plans
Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
Assist with activities of daily living as needed
Support wound care and routine nursing procedures
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Collaborate with healthcare teams to support continuity of care
Requirements
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Vermont or compact state eligibility
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility standards
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred in skilled nursing or long-term care
Ability to work evening shifts consistently
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow clinical protocols and care plans accurately
Physically able to assist with patient mobility and care needs
