Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 9-week contract assignment in Bloomfield, New Mexico. The LPN will provide direct patient care and nursing support within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting during overnight shifts.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care and support positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with care plans and facility policies
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient assessments
Collaborate with Registered Nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and facility procedures
Support patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being during overnight care
Requirements
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
Previous skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and patient safety standards
Additional Information
Weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule)
Candidates must bring valid state or federal issued identification
Facility photo badge must be worn at all times during assignment
Agency staff must comply with facility COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption requirements
