Job Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 7-week contract assignment in Florence, Alabama. The LPN will provide overnight nursing care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, ensuring residents receive safe, consistent, and high-quality care.

This role involves medication administration, patient monitoring, and supporting residents with ongoing clinical and comfort needs during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under RN supervision during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status
• Perform routine assessments and document clinical observations
• Support patient safety, comfort, and infection control protocols
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and emergency responses as needed
• Communicate effectively with oncoming and offgoing nursing staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on night shift
• Familiarity with medication administration and nursing documentation standards
