Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a short-term contract assignment in Gallup, New Mexico. The LPN will provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing setting, supporting residents with daily health needs, medication administration, and clinical monitoring.
This role requires strong clinical competency, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient health status and report changes to supervising RN/physician
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with facility policies and nursing standards
Support patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all times
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
Ability to work overnight shifts independently
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
