Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse and medical team
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, document responses, and monitor for adverse effects
- Assess resident conditions, report changes to the supervising RN and physician, and adjust care plans as directed
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and provide restorative care to support function and quality of life
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the resident’s chart, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold resident safety and privacy
- Uphold infection control practices, safe medication administration protocols, and a respectful, professional conduct with residents and families
