Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team within Cherokee Nation. This is an excellent contract opportunity for a compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled LPN who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a community-focused healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care.

  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly to the appropriate healthcare team.

  • Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice.

  • Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and clinical observations.

  • Assist providers and registered nurses with examinations, treatments, and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

  • Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions.

  • Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies.

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, RNs, healthcare staff, and other members of the care team.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Current, active LPN/LVN license appropriate for the assignment.

  • Recent clinical LPN experience preferred.

  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professionalism.

  • Current BLS certification preferred/required if specified by the facility.
