Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a travel assignment in a skilled nursing environment. The LPN will provide direct patient care, support registered nurses, and ensure safe, high-quality care for long-term care residents.
This role requires strong clinical skills, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced nursing home setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to long-term care residents
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Report changes in patient condition to supervising RN
- Support infection control and safety protocols
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and patient comfort care
- Collaborate with nursing team to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN license required
- Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work assigned shift consistently
- Ability to manage patient care responsibilities independently within scope
