This role involves caring for vent-dependent and medically complex patients, with a primary patient population dealing with respiratory and ventilator needs. The position requires working a 12-hour night shift, including every other weekend, in an environment that emphasizes respiratory and chronic care protocols.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license with at least 2 years of relevant experience, prior travel experience preferred; BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred; experience with respiratory/ventilated patients strongly preferred; experience with respiratory/vented patients should be indicated in profiles
Responsible for IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight cath, foley care, port access, and central line dressing and measurements
Will not manage ventilators; respiratory therapists handle vents
Unit-specific procedures/protocols are followed to ensure clinical excellence
Medical environment includes units such as RCU2, SDU, and TRU, which are specialized chronic and complex care units
Compliance with vaccination policies required; willingness to obtain flu vaccine or medical declination needed
