Job Summary
Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) position located at a nursing home with 38 residents. The role involves providing nursing care, supervising CNAs and TMAs, and performing duties such as medication administration, wound care, Foley care, and ostomy care. The position requires flexibility in shifts and adherence to facility protocols to ensure quality resident care.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, days, with every other weekend and alternating holiday coverage; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term or nursing home care; current licensure to submit application
• Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory skills, prior nursing home experience, self-motivated demeanor
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • Unit operates with a nurse-to-resident ratio of 1:20 during day/evening shifts and 1:40 at night
  • Common diagnoses include COPD, dementia, Parkinsons disease, MS, and CHF
  • EMR system used is Point Click Care (PCC)
  • No IVs or titratable drips; medication dispensing via blister pack cards; pharmacy on-site
  • No self-scheduling or block scheduling options available; RTO must be provided upfront
  • Candidates must have already registered or have an account for MN NetStudy prior to submitting
  • Facility allows Hospital cancellations up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
