Job Summary LTC Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term care facility in Alaska. This position involves providing nursing care to residents with various diagnoses, including dementia, Alzheimer's, and physical impairments. The role requires experience in long-term care settings and is suitable for candidates with at least one year of relevant experience, holding current BLS certification and an Alaska license in hand.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS required; must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (one-time fee of $10).
Education/Experience: At least one year of experience in long-term care; current AK license required.
Location Requirements: Must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facilitys location; local candidates are not accepted.
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Clinical Skills and Responsibilities: Experience with oxygen administration, peripheral line care, isolation precautions, accuchecks, implanted glucose sensors, G-tube feedings, Duopa pumps, IV hydration, phlebotomy, peritoneal dialysis, respiratory treatments, wound care, and use of vital sign machines, glucose monitors, pacemaker transmitters, and EKGs.
Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work at least two of the three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years); RTO requests are limited to specific durations depending on the contract length.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Submission Requirements: Include responses to whether the candidate has previous experience at a Providence facility, along with two references covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years.
