Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Supervisor for a Long-Term Care position requiring NY licensure and at least one year of LTC experience.

Details

• Long-term care nursing and rehabilitation center offering skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care services
• 300-bed facility with patient ratios of 1:18-20
• Alzheimer's and dementia patient population
• Night shift, 8-hour shifts (10:45 PM-7:15 AM), 5 days per week
• Every other weekend required upon center request
• Supervisory role overseeing CNAs while also managing a medication cart
• Point Click Care (PCC) charting system used, though experience is not required for consideration

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration with no license actions allowed
• Minimum of 1 year of LTC experience required
• RNs applying for supervisory roles must have 1+ year of supervisor/manager experience along with 2+ years of LTC experience
• Candidates with recent specialty experience in rehab, med/surg, SNF, or hospital settings may be considered if they also meet LTC experience requirements
• BLS certification required
• Must pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Must be an American citizen; Canadian citizens cannot be accepted
• One verified reference required for consideration, with a second required prior to contract start

Additional Information

• Administer medications and treatments, perform accurate med passes, and monitor resident conditions
• Supervise CNAs on assigned units and provide oversight of daily nursing care
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Shift and RTO cannot be changed once an offer is accepted
• Holiday RTO will not be approved prior to start; time off must be arranged directly with the facility after starting
• Orientation occurs every two weeks and cannot be missed
• Must complete Relias training modules no later than 3 days prior to assignment start date
• Scrub attire is any solid color with closed-toe shoes required
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are accepted
