Pay Breakdown:

  • Weekly Gross: $2,400
  • W2:  $18/hr.
  • Stipend:  $1,725 Weekly

Requirements

  • NY State LPN license - Required
  • Minimum 2 years of Outpatient Clinic experience.
  • BLS Cert - Required

 

Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Travel Outpatient Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week assignment with a leading healthcare facility. The Outpatient Clinic LPN provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an ambulatory setting by assisting with patient assessments, administering medications and treatments, supporting providers during examinations and procedures, and educating patients on their care plans. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
  • Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and prescribed treatments within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical procedures as assigned.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, diagnostic tests, and minor office procedures.
  • Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the supervising RN or provider.
  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and assist with care coordination as needed.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and prepared according to infection prevention standards.
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and facility policies to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide efficient, compassionate, and high-quality outpatient care.
