Blu Medstaff is seeking a LPN / LVN Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care for a travel job in Pacific Junction, Iowa.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Long-Term Care (LTC) Iowa

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a travel/agency assignment at a welcoming 70-bed Long-Term Care facility in Iowa. This position is ideal for an LPN who is passionate about providing high-quality care to residents while working collaboratively with an experienced healthcare team.

 

 

Schedule & Hours

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
  • 36 hours guaranteed each week
  • Overtime available based on facility needs

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to long-term care residents in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions accurately and safely.
  • Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to the RN and healthcare provider.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident assessments.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality resident care.
  • Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and independence while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to get it)
  • Previous Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations and assist residents with mobility and transfers.
