Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Long-Term Care (LTC) Iowa
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a travel/agency assignment at a welcoming 70-bed Long-Term Care facility in Iowa. This position is ideal for an LPN who is passionate about providing high-quality care to residents while working collaboratively with an experienced healthcare team.
Schedule & Hours
3 x 12-hour shifts per week
36 hours guaranteed each week
Overtime available based on facility needs
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to long-term care residents in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies.
Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions accurately and safely.
Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to the RN and healthcare provider.
Complete timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident assessments.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality resident care.
Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and independence while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to get it)
Previous Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Rehabilitation experience preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout a 12-hour shift.
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations and assist residents with mobility and transfers.
