Job Title - LPN OR
Unit - Operating Room
Duration - 13 Weeks with possibility of extension
Shift - 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m
Location - Bronx, NY, 10466

 

Position Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Operating Room (OR) provides skilled nursing support to surgeons, registered nurses, and the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures. The LPN is responsible for preparing operating rooms, assisting with patient positioning and surgical setup, maintaining a sterile environment, handling surgical instruments and supplies, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

 

Job Duties:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
  • Assist with pre-operative patient preparation, identification, positioning, and transport.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to aseptic and infection prevention practices throughout surgical procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2 years
  • Certifications: BLS AHA , LPN License
