Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Colorado RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• At least 1 year of RN clinical experience
• Experience in long-term acute care, telemetry, or medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Ventilator and tracheostomy experience required
• Knowledge of central lines required
• Wound care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills

LTAC Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care in a long-term acute care hospital setting
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Monitor patients closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Provide skilled nursing care for patients with ventilator and tracheostomy needs
• Support central line care and wound care interventions as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to prioritize patient needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical standards and procedures
