Description

American Traveler is hiring a WI or compact licensed RN for a Long Term Care Med/Surg position with weekend day/PM shift requirements.

Details

• Long Term Care/Nursing Home setting
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 13-week contract assignment
• Weekend PM/day rotating shift schedule with 14-hour shifts (2pm-10:30pm and 6am-8:30pm)
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Two-year nursing degree required, four-year degree preferred
• Less than 1 year of experience required, 1+ years preferred
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required

Additional Information

• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and families in a timely manner
• Complete resident assessments and medication administration following the 5 Rights
• Perform wound care and assessments as needed
• Assist CNAs and monitor residents for changes in condition
• Act as a leader on the floor, assessing and directing situations as needed
• Report allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
• Maintain accurate and thorough resident charting
