Description

American Traveler is hiring a Supervisor/Charge RN for a Long-Term Care position requiring an active NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC/Skilled Nursing experience.

Details

• Long-term care setting within a state/government-run facility offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• 300-bed facility with a patient ratio of approximately 1:18-20
• Cares for an Alzheimer's and Dementia patient population
• Serves as Supervisor/Charge RN overseeing CNAs on assigned units
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required upon center request
• No float requirements to other units
• New start dates begin every two weeks due to orientation scheduling
• PointClickCare (PCC) charting system used

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration with no license hits allowed
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience required
• Supervisor RNs must have 1+ year of supervisory/management experience combined with 2+ years of LTC experience
• Candidates with recent specialty experience in SNF, Rehab, Med-Surg, or Hospital settings will also be considered
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• PointClickCare (PCC) charting experience required
• Strong attendance and punctuality required
• Canadian citizens must have a valid U.S. Social Security card prior to consideration

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including accurate and safe medication passes
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition and complete timely, accurate documentation
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies while supervising CNAs on assigned units
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with diverse individuals
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional, and personable demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for scheduling needs
• Scrub attire may be any solid color with closed-toe shoes required
• Free parking available onsite
• Once offered, shift and schedule cannot be changed
• Time off requests must be submitted and approved prior to offer; no additional RTO approved after start, including holidays
• Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours notice
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Local candidates are accepted
• Orientation occurs every two weeks and cannot be missed
• Required training modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to assignment start
