LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Seward, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

Key Requirements

• Previous travel experience required
• Active Alaska (AK) RN License required (must be in hand)
• Minimum 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) RN experience
• First-time travelers not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Long-Term Care experience required

Assignment Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Traveler's choice of 13 or 26 weeks
• Shift Options:
  • 4x12 Variable, or
  • 3x12 Variable (traveler's choice)
• Shifts will be assigned as either Days or Nights based on facility needs at the start of the assignment.
• Caregivers are not routinely required to rotate between day and night shifts, except in rare urgent staffing situations.
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:20

Schedule & Call

• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: Required within scope of practice to meet facility needs
• Block Scheduling: Not available

Required Certification

• All caregivers must obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification during onsite orientation.
• Certification is not required prior to the start date.
• A one-time $10 fee applies.

Candidate Guidelines

• Local candidates not accepted (Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility)
• Pending Alaska RN License not accepted
• RTO Guidelines:
  • Maximum of 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week assignment
  • Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays:
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas
    • New Year's
  • Preference is given to travelers willing to work all holidays
  • All RTO must be submitted with the initial profile. RTO requests made after an offer or contract signing will not be considered.

Guaranteed Hours

• 60 hours every 2 weeks
• Travelers may be called off for one 12-hour shift every 2 weeks

Traveler Vehicle Information

• A vehicle will be provided by the facility for use during the assignment.
• The vehicle may be:
  • A facility-owned vehicle, or
  • A rental vehicle arranged through a rental car company
• Vehicle availability:
  • Up to 72 hours before the contract start date
  • Up to 24 hours after the contract end date
• Only the traveler is authorized to operate the vehicle.
• Prior to operating the vehicle, travelers must provide:
  • A valid driver's license
  • Proof of personal auto insurance
• Personal auto insurance must include rental vehicle coverage.
• Vehicle use is limited to:
  • Local transportation only
  • Within a 30-mile radius of the facility
  • No off-road use
• If the traveler takes time off during the assignment, the vehicle must be returned and will be reissued upon return.
• Tire chains are available upon request for an additional fee charged to the traveler.
• The vehicle must be returned clean, with a full tank of fuel.
