Job Summary
Mammographer in Morristown. This position involves performing mammographic procedures, bone density assessments, and breast biopsy interventions within a high-volume clinical setting. The role requires a skilled professional to ensure accurate positioning, image quality, and patient safety while adhering to all regulatory standards and department protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with flexibility to fill day shifts, minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) approved radiography program, BLS Certified, ARRT certification in Mammography, licensed by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in Diagnostic Radiography, with no minimum experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: At least one (1) year of experience in Mammography, proficiency in Epic and Sectra PACS, can be obtained during training/introductory period.
- Certifications & Skills: ARRT in Mammography, NJDEP licensure, BLS, proficiency in PACS, clinical communication tools, ALARA practices, expertise in breast interventions, stereotactic biopsies, and diagnostic exams, with knowledge of universal precautions, aseptic technique, patient identification factors, positioning, and technical factors, along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: Graduate of an NJDEP approved radiography program.
- Experience: 0 years minimum required in Mammography or related procedures.
- Additional Information: Must demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a high-volume team environment. May have call and holiday rotation responsibilities. Training in 2D and 3D mammography (8 hours of documented training) and specific procedures such as stereotactic biopsies required.
