Job Title: Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Mammography Duration: 9 months Shift: M-F Hours per Shift: 11.5 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Must possess a state license in Diagnostic Radiography Certifications: Must be registered with ARRT, must maintain MQSA requirements Must-Have: - IMAGE EVALUATION - MAMMOGRAPHY POSITIONING - COMPRESSION TECHNIQUES - TECHNIQUE FACTOR COMPETENCY - RADIOGRAPHIC IMAGE LABELING Description: Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography. Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors. Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled as specified by the department's standard operating procedures. Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure images are transmitted to the system in a timely manner. Ensure that all studies performed are completed in the system. Accurately record all required patient tracking information into the tracking system. Work effectively and efficiently.
