About the Position Position/Specialty: Mammography Tech - Outpatient Clinic Travelers are required to perform a minimum of 20 screening mammograms per day. Diagnostic mammography exams may be performed as the schedule allows; however, the primary focus of this assignment is screening mammography. Fast paced outpatient facility that requires autonomy, effective teamwork, great communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility. Daily Caseload: 55 Shift: 5x8s, 8:30am to 5:00pm Weekend REQ: No Is on-call REQ? No Overtime - Technologist must be willing to shift work hours if overtime is involved. For example, if the tech works beyond her contracted shift, she may be asked to come in late the next day to eliminate overtime. Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? Yes Floating Req to Sister Facilities: Yes, travelers are required to float to facilities throughout the Charleston area as needed. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1+ years First-timers accepted: Yes Cert/License Requirements: BLS; ARRT (M); SCRQSA (M) SC state license Special Requirements: MUST KNOW HOW TO OPERATE SIEMENS REVELATIONS/HOLOGIC DIMENSION EQUIPMENT - HARD REQUIREMENT. Must perform Screening and diagnostic mammograms. Radiation Badge Req (Y/N): No Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, at on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate Pending State License accepted: No, SC license must be in hand prior to start RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be disclosed at submission. Approval will be based on the operational needs of the department. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Orientation hours 8:00am to 4:30pm; Monday thru Friday. Special Equipment : - #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO is due at time of submission. RTO after submission will not be accepted. Please ensure your traveler does not have any time off planned that will prevent them from completing pre-start compliance on time for the proposed start date. SSN is required to submit. Local Rule : MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates first. Radius rule is 60 miles. Locals will be considered at a lower BR Previous perm staff(this includes PRN) must be separated from the MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler. South Carolina RN License: MUSC will prioritize candidates that have SC license in hand. We will still consider candidates with a pending license at the time of submission please provide proof that they have applied for the license or confirm that they can complete the SC walk-through process. Traveler will not be cleared to report to the facility until SC license is issued/active. RTO GUIDELINE FOR AUTO OFFERS: If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holidays will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process We can only submit to one MUSC unit/campus at a time. If you do submit to multiple job IDs, please mention in the submission what their top choice is. Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams .
