AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Mammography Tech in Salinas, California, 93901!

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Mammo Tech for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you’ll perform specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT) (R) (M) registration.
  • Current CRT required.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification as per American Heart Association standards.
  • Demonstrated experience as a leader, including making daily staff assignments and serving as a departmental resource.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Mammography Department to assure efficiency.
  • Perform and assist with screening and diagnostic mammograms, bone density, and related procedures as ordered.
  • Assist physicians with mammography procedures including biopsies and needle localizations as needed.
  • Prepare patients for exams by consenting, explaining procedures, and answering questions.
  • Provide patient care during transport and within the department, including assisting patients with limited mobility.
  • Evaluate patient condition pre- and post-procedure and report changes to the Radiologist.
  • Assist with emergency medical treatment under physician direction.
  • Maintain department inventory, cleanliness, and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Review and verify outpatient orders and clarify with physician offices when necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for technologists, referring physicians, radiologists, and other department staff.
  • Keep staff informed on system and operational changes and attend department meetings and in-services.
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality measures and assist with staff training and competency assessments.
  • Work with Radiologist and Department Manager to develop and implement mammography policies, maintain ACR accreditation, and ensure MQSA standards are met.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly MQSA data and oversight activities, including equipment QA/QC and staff/radiologist licensure and CEU tracking.
