They manage the accreditation of the hospital, equipment, technologist, and services under the MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act and Program) guidelines. They are responsible for related equipment, supply inventory, patient education and the continuum of patients care before, during, and after procedures. Essential Job Functions Coordinates all operations related to mammography services (e.g., scheduling service, safety, patient care, and equipment maintenance). Safely and proficiently performs all mammographic/ and related procedures and imaging. Oversees MQSA inspections, ACR (American College of Radiology) accreditations, Quality Control Program, Physicist Surveys, Equipment Maintenance, Technologist Certifications and education, and Policies and Procedures. Maintains proper staffing levels to meet workflow requirements; assists staff technologists with maintaining appropriate absenteeism and tardiness record. Supervises Mammography Technologists and students. Coordinates and implements components related to breast health care needs (e.g., BSE (breast self-examination) instructions, patient education, and patient grants and payment assistance). Provides excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
