Job Title: Mammography Technician Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the field License: CA License required Certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARRT Advanced required Must-Have: - Experience in 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Fine Needle Aspiration, Needle Localizations, Screening Mammograms, Stereotactic Biopsy - Familiarity with Isolation Precautions/PPE - Proficient in Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX Description: The Mammography Technician is responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures. The technician will also assist in patient education and ensure the safety of patients during procedures. Candidates must be skilled in various mammographic techniques and possess the ability to work independently. The position requires excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare staff. Candidates should be prepared to support interdisciplinary care. The role may involve floating to nearby facilities as needed. Travelers are expected to work varied patient ratios, ensuring quality care and attention to patient needs. The technician will be required to maintain training and compliance with safety standards throughout the assignment. Minimum experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.
