Job Title: Mammography Tech Profession: Radiology Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid State License required Certifications: ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in 3-D Mammography - Experience in Diagnostic Mammograms - Experience in Digital Mammography - Experience in Fine Needle Aspiration - Experience in Needle Localizations - Experience in Outpatient procedures - Experience in Screening Mammograms - Experience in Stereotactic Biopsy - Experience with PACS - Experience with Hologic equipment Description: Responsibilities include performing mammography exams, including screening and diagnostic procedures. Candidates should have experience in biopsy procedures and needle localization, although this is preferred but not required. The daily census averages 35 patients. The unit is equipped with 2 rooms for performing procedures. Interdisciplinary support is available for patient care. Patients include adults and geriatrics. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Communication devices will be provided to perform duties as assigned. Candidates must be flexible regarding scheduling and time-off requests. Completion of all compliance requirements is necessary prior to start. References covering the last year of experience are required during the compliance process.
