Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Mammography Tech Specialty: GSS Mammography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: 2 years License: Radiography license required Certifications: ARRT Mammography certification, CPR certification required within three months of employment Description: Under general supervision and in consultation with the Radiologist, performs mammographic procedures of a routine and difficult nature. Participates in scheduling procedures for the Breast Imaging Center. Trains and evaluates other technologists in performing mammographic procedures. Requires completion of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, normally acquired in a two-year college or technical school program. ARRT Mammography certification with current registration is required. Radiography license from the relevant regulatory body is required. CPR certification must be obtained within three months of employment.
