Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment requiring 4+ years of experience, ARRT(M) and ARRT(R) certifications, and Hologic equipment proficiency.
Details
- Position based at a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center offering short-term acute care
- Technologist will float between four sites including Shoreline Medical Center, North Haven Medical Center, Long Wharf Medical Center, and the main campus at Smilow Cancer Hospital
- Schedule includes Monday through Friday shifts from 8:30am-5pm or 12pm-8:30pm, with every other Saturday from 7:30am-4pm
- A weekday off is provided when scheduled to work a Saturday
- Schedule is posted one week in advance
- Epic charting system is preferred
- Position covers both inpatient and outpatient settings
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of mammography experience required
- ARRT(M), ARRT(R), and BLS certifications required; Breast Ultrasound certification preferred
- Experience with Hologic 3D and Siemens mammography equipment required
- Proficiency in 3D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, screening mammograms, and digital mammography
- Trauma Level I or large facility experience required
- Travel experience preferred
- Active state license required prior to start date, if applicable
- Epic charting experience preferred
Additional Information
- Cross-training as a Breast Sonographer is preferred
- Weekend coverage required, including rotating Saturday shifts
- Floating to sister facilities required as needed
- RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
- Previous staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
- Teal scrub tops and bottoms required
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, with exemptions only for religious or medical reasons
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility will not be considered
- One professional reference required for consideration
