Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: Mammography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Prior experience in Mammography License: State licensure registration in Radiologic Technology with Mammography credential Certifications: BLS Certification, ARRT certification Must-Have: - Associate degree in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology - ARRT (R)(M) Description: Ensure that the evaluation of mammography procedures is administered accurately, timely, responsively, and reliably. Customers served include employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Prioritize activities that directly affect customer service. Perform routine mammography as well as bone density scans and biopsy procedures as requested. Demonstrate adequate radiation safety practices for both patients and co-workers. Provide patient education as required. Maintain the required number of continuing education units to uphold certification. Establish effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, and other department customers to ensure efficient operations. Participate in all relevant functions related to patient procedures. Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing mammography and bone density procedures. Perform other related duties as required.
