Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Mammography Technologist Specialty: Mammography Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Medical Radiographer License Certifications: BLS, ARRT (M) Must-Have: - High School Graduate or GED equivalent - Completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or an equivalent program - Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills - Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging - Proper operation and care of radiology diagnostic equipment - Familiarity with radiation safety - Basic understanding of medical terminology - Familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS Description: This position is in a clinic setting. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist is preferred. Six months of experience in an outpatient environment is also preferred. Demonstrated knowledge in the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment is essential. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and standards regarding radiation. Knowledge of medical terminology is necessary. Strong customer service and organizational skills are required for effective patient interaction.
